A sweet transformation on a budget

This one was fun and quick!  My clients knew what they wanted but did not have the time to manage the renovation of their galley kitchen and powder room before Baby #2 arrived.  The client’s desire was to update both spaces while on a budget and on a very tight timeline. In an effort to be cost-conscious, I suggested we use Ikea cabinets to save the most money for both the kitchen cabinets and the bathroom vanity. Ikea has a great line of cabinetry with a wide variety of features that meet the needs of both small and large budgets. The cabinetry, although, less expensive than most cabinetry, is high-quality and perfect for budget-conscious buyers. The clients wanted a black countertop to contrast the white cabinets and so they purchased Absolute Black granite, which is affordable and attractive. They also wanted black appliances and a white subway tile backsplash which are all ways to save and create a modern space.

Many kitchens in their building had removed the wall between the kitchen and dining area so we knew that this would be a possible solution for them to create an open kitchen without any major structural changes. For the bathroom, we replaced the floor tile, vanity, mirror and used fresh white paint to update the space.  Finally, the entire project only took two weeks and we delivered on-budget. The project was done before baby #2 was born - phew!
